ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, South Andaman under the administrative control of CIARI, Sri Vijaya Puram collaborated with Bageecha and Port Blair Guru Ki Rasoi to organize training programme on ‘‘Nursery Activities of Vegetables and Ornamental Crops’’. The training was held from 03/03/2025 to 05/03/2025 at ICAR-KVK, South Andaman and Bageecha. The chief guest of the training Dr. Y Ramakrishna (Principal Scientist and Head, KVK) was pleased upon the interest of people in taking up nursery activities. He also delivered a lecture on importance of media in nursery. Training coordinator Ms. Sushma (Subject Matter Specialist, Horticulture) demonstrated preparation of media, filling of media in polybags and portrays. The trainees actively participated in preparation of seedlings of vegetables and cuttings of ornamental crops during the training. There were nine trainees out of which three were male and six were female who attended the training. The training was organized under the guidance of Dr. E B Chkaurkar, Director, ICAR-CIARI.
