On 11th November 2025, the ICAR–Central Island Agricultural Research Institute, Regional Station, Minicoy organized a essay writing and Poster Making Competition for high school students as part of the celebration of Jan Jatiya Gaurav Varsh Pakhwada 2025. The theme of the competition, “highlight the legacy of tribal freedom fighters” inspired young participants to creatively express ideas on sustainable living and technological innovations suited for island ecosystems and the involvement of tribal freedom fighters for freedom of India. Students also showcased their artistic talents through posters highlighting renewable energy, waste management, and eco-friendly practices.
