ICAR-CIARI Sensitization Students of JNRM on Entrepreneurship in Natural Resource Management Division

Sri Vijaya Puram, April 09, 2026: Students from Jawaharlal Nehru Rajkeeya Mahavidyalaya (JNRM College) participated in a sensitization program focused on Entrepreneurship in Integrated Farming Systems, specifically tailored for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. This event was conducted by the Natural Resource Management Division of the ICAR-Central Island Agricultural Research Institute. Through practical sessions, participants acquired valuable knowledge in several areas, including coconut-spice intercropping, vegetable cultivation, and the management of livestock such as poultry and goats. Additionally, they explored guppy fish breeding in conjunction with azolla culture, the production of vermicompost, and methods for sustainable honey bee trapping.
